Grandstaff Canyon – 12″ x 24″ oils on canvas
I took a lot of pictures of this spot before the big flood and I’m glad I did. It hasn’t returned to this look yet. I’ve painted variations on this scene several times, each time a little different. I used a new color on my palette this time, phthalo green, to get a wider variety of warm/cool greens.
