Morning Glory Rappel Painting

This little 9″ x 12″ painting was done as a study for a larger version, which is now being done as a commission for someone who contacted me via my Instagram account. I used an overexposed but nicely composed pic of Morning Glory Arch, then added the rappelling figure later. In the photo of the arch, the sky was so blown out it was white. The shadows of course lacked the colors you see here, and they were really dark. It turned out pretty good, I am looking forward to doing the larger version.
