Sunrise at Courthouse Wash – 11″ x 14″ oils on canvas
I took a reference pic here on a bike ride one morning and then painted the scene later in the day while the design I had in mind was still fresh. I painted this in one six hour session; if I take longer I just end up picking away at it too much, or getting lost in details.
