Greedy developers destroyed a beautiful area on Kane Creek Road to try and build a luxury resort. After weak attempts at greenwashing with the names “Kane Creek Preservation and Development” and “Westland Reserve”, for now they’ve settled on “Echo Canyon” which has absolutely no significance to any place even remotely near the site. It’s just a made up name by clueless rich people who don’t even live here and care only about making even more money. They even used their power and influence to get their crooked political buddies to change the laws, making it easier for them to ignore local regulations. They have been handed some major defeats by @kanecreek_watch , which has really boosted morale with locals in Moab.
